Uniforms

Our school uniform is compulsory and we expect our students will wear uniform items with pride and neat presentation.

All students from Prep to Year 6 are required to wear only the official school uniform as listed below. A uniform dress code reinforces in students a pride in their own appearance, instils recognition of themselves as an integral part of the school community, and assists in developing pride in representing their school. Issues of equality, health, safety and expense are also factors that contribute to the establishment of the dress code. 

Wearing of the school uniform is deemed compulsory with the aim to: 

  • Promote equality amongst all students
  • Further develop a sense of pride in, and identification with, our school
  • Provide a school uniform that is practical, comfortable, attractive and affordable

Maintain and enhance the positive image of the school in the community. 

As part of the school uniform, all students are required to wear the school council approved navy blue wide brimmed SunSmart hat with school logo in term one and from the first week of September. Any child that does not wear the approved SunSmart hat during these times, will be required to sit in a designated shade area during recess and lunchtime breaks. A dark blue wide brimmed hat with school logo is available at the office.

  • Navy blue shorts, tracksuits pants, pleated skort or skirt
  • Checked navy and white school dress
  • Navy tunic
  • Navy blue polo shirt with school logo
  • Navy and sky blue polo with school logo
  • Navy blue zip jacket with school logo
  • Navy and Sky Blue Sports jacket with school logo
  • Navy blue jumper with school logo
  • Navy blue sleeveless vest, plain with no logos
  • Plain Navy blue waterproof jacket or coat
  • Plain navy blue beanie (no logos or pom poms) for Terms 2 & 3 only
  • SunSmart wide brimmed hat
  • White, grey or black socks
  • Black shoes, boots, sandals with toe area covered or runners.

Please clearly label all of your child/ren’s uniform items. 

Our school uniform is compulsory and we expect our students will wear uniform items with pride and neat presentation. 

  • Stud earrings or sleepers are the only permissible earrings and must only be worn in the ears.
  • Watches are acceptable. Smartwatches must be handed into the office at the start of the day and collected at the end of the day.
  • Jewellery such as necklaces, bracelets or any other items are not permitted as they provide a catch or tangle hazard. Should special consideration be sought, the parents/carers must write a letter to the Principal.
  • Extreme hair colours (e.g. green, pink or purple rinses) and/or extreme hairstyles (e.g. spikes or Mohawks) are not permitted, unless as part of a school event (e.g. House colours at Carnivals, Wacky Hair Day Fundraisers, etc.).
  • Hair below the shoulder must be tied back off the face.
  • Cosmetics, including nail polish, are not to be worn at school

Uniform can be purchases online from Eduthreads (Loch Primary School – EduThreads). We have uniform at school that is available to try on.

Schoes

  • Blue or black socks with black school shoes or boots
  • Majority white / black runners with no fluro colours or laces.
  • Shoes must have a closed toe.
